The Plantage Terms & Conditions
Wholesale Only
The Plantage is a wholesale perennial nursery selling to qualified people in the nursery industry. Please supply a business check, proof of same and your federal tax ID number. Terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
Hours of Operation
The nursery is open Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Please note that we will be closed during lunch (12-1pm). During the months of March through May, we will be open on Saturdays until 12pm or by appointment only.
Ordering & Delivery/Pick-up of Plants
Orders are reserved on a first-received basis. All items offered are subject to crop failures, shortages and other causes beyond our control.
We reserve the right to request a 50% deposit on orders to be held over 2 weeks. No orders will be held after June 1 unless prepaid.
At our discretion, a restocking fee of 10% may be imposed on those orders that are routinely refused and for which there is no basis for return.
A minimum delivery charge of $25 will be added to each bill. If you intend to pick up materials, a two-day notice in advance is necessary during May and June.
All garden center orders should be in no later than Monday to ensure delivery for that week.
Care of Our Plants
We raise specimen, container-grown perennials of the highest quality, which can be planted any time of year provided the ground is not frozen. These plants are fed with slow-release fertilizers adequate to carry the plant through a nine-month cycle. No additional fertilizer application is necessary during the growing season. A 2-week spray program of insecticide, fungicide and miticide will be helpful in maintaining plants in top condition. Removal of spent blooms will improve appearance and prolong blooming time as well.
Directions
From the LIE: Exit 73 (Last Exit-Route 58). Continue east through Riverhead. Route 58 becomes Route 25E. Pass through the town of Mattituck. After the USA gas station at the right, make the next left onto Elijah's Lane (Car Quest Auto Parts store on the corner). The Plantage is 1/2 mile on the right. Please check in at office upon arrival.
Terms & Conditions of Sale
Payment is due upon delivery or within 30 days of the invoice date to customers who have established credit with us. Credit applications are available and must be approved before credit will be granted. Approval is based on volume of business and credit history.
A finance charge of 2% per month (24% per annum) will be charged on accounts not paid within 30 days.
Unless previous arrangements have been made, all accounts 60 days old will automatically go on a cash basis for further orders. ALL COLLECTION CHARGES WILL BE ASSESSED TO THE CUSTOMER.
We ship only the finest quality plant material. If, however, it is necessary to file a claim, it must be made within 5 days of receipt of plants.
